This easy Tzatziki Sauce is a simple homemade dip that adds Greek flavors to any dish! With just cucumber, greek yogurt, garlic, and lemon juice, you'll have a quick and delicious sauce that pairs great with proteins, veggies, or pita!

- Greek yogurt: I love the richness of full-fat yogurt, but you can also use non-fat Greek yogurt. Just make sure that it is non-flavored yogurt!
- Lemon: fresh lemon juice adds a brightness to this tzatziki sauce!
- Cucumber: Use a grated to grate your cucumber. I like to mix the juices of the cucumber for added cucumber flavor.
- Garlic: Use the same grater you used for the cucumber to grate the garlic. I prefer grating the garlic over mincing so that there are no big pieces of garlic.
How to make homemade Tzatziki sauce
1. In a medium bowl, add in the grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
2. Stir together the ingredients and serve!
Tips for preparing the cucumber for Tzatziki
I love grating the cucumber for this sauce. Grating the cucumber will leave both fine cucumber pieces and juice to flavor the yogurt. I also include the cucumber juice for added cucumber flavor.
Prep ahead tips
Tzaziki sauce can be made up to 4 days ahead and kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Make sure to give it a good stir before serving it again.
What to serve with tzatziki

Easy Homemade Tzatziki Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup Greek yogurt preferably full-fat
- ½ cup grated cucumber about ½ an English cucumber
- 1 garlic clove grated
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice about ½ a lemon
- ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
- 1 pinch freshly cracked black pepper
